It was an absolute pleasure and delight to walk alongside Rebecca Ross and Kent Purcell as they planned and prepared for their August 2, 2014 wedding celebration in Memphis. Rebecca has such lovely style and classic taste with a sweet, romantic twist. It was a joy to see their wedding celebration come together and beautifully unfold last August.
Rebecca began her wedding day with her sweet bridesmaids, getting ready together at The River Inn of Harbor Town before heading to Colonial Park United Methodist Church for pre-ceremony photos captured by the amazingly talented Lindsey Lissau Photography.
Rebecca and Kent’s “first look” couldn’t have been more romantic or sweeter on the church grounds. It was a relaxing afternoon of photos for the bride and groom and their wedding party before their 5:30 PM ceremony.
Rebecca chose to incorporate sweet neutral colors into her wedding celebration. Her bridesmaids looked beautiful in long, neutral colored dresses, and the guys looked sharp in classic black tuxedos with bow ties.
The bride and groom exchanged vows and rings in a beautiful ceremony at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, and then, they celebrated with their loved ones afterward at the Balinese Ballroom downtown.
Deedra Stone Designs, Mahaffey Tent & Party Rentals, Propcellar vintage rentals, and Everbloom Designs helped create the romantic reception Rebecca envisioned along with a stunning head table — a pilgrim farm table with rustic wood chairs, a gorgeous lace table runner and beautiful “Mr.” and “Mrs.” chair decor, along with luscious floral arrangements with overflowing greenery by Deedra Stone. Rebecca and Kent’s guest tables were adorned with tan linens, khaki ticking striped table runners and gorgeous florals, and they were surrounded with beautiful wood chairs. A vintage white buffet displayed the sweet couple’s engagement photos and hosted their guest book. Rebecca’s elegant gold and white wedding cake by The Flour Garden was set on an ornate vintage white dresser. And an antique mantel adorned with flowers, greenery and candles and framed with whiskey barrels, wooden crates and lanterns created a perfect backdrop for guests to snap photos. It was a romantic and chic evening! And everyone had a fabulous time, dancing the night away as The DMP Band jammed and entertained Rebecca and Kent and their guests.
The bride and groom’s loved ones sent the newly and happily married couple off and away with a romantic sparkler send off and well wishes at the end of the night. Rebecca and Kent were chauffered away in a classic 1933 Buick.
Best wishes and congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Purcell! Thank you, thank you for allowing the WED Memphis Team to be a part of your gorgeous wedding celebration. It was a delight to walk alongside you and your families during such an exciting, special and fun time in your lives. We wish you much love, joy and happiness! xx
Special thanks to Lindsey Lissau Photography for sharing these breathtaking photos with us. They’re all absolutely stunning. We just couldn’t help ourselves, so we shared a lot of them! Enjoy!
